Hawaii Volcano history

Kilauea volcano, on the southernmost Island of Hawaii, is one of the most active volcanoes on Earth, and rests on the flanks of Mauna Loa. Kilauea is also Pele’s domain, the embodiment of the energy of fire, creativity, passion, and power!

The current eruption of Kilauea, known as the Pu`u `O`o eruption, has been active since January 3rd, 1983 – some 33 years. Molten lava is still flowing into the ocean from time to time so contact us to find out more and to book your tour.
